Characters:
Jessica:
Is described as playing the lilting high notes in the symphony. She is an enthusiastic Janeite who particularly loves Pride and Prejudice. She plays the following characters in the play: Jane Bennett, Kitty Bennett, Mr Bingley, Emma Woodhouse, Harriet Smith, Lady Susan, Marianne Dashwood, Fanny Dashwood and Lucy Steele.
Charlotte:
Is described as the steady driving alto of the symphony. She is the most sensible of the three players. She is also a Janeite with a passion for the novel Persuasion, where she really identifies with its heroine Anne Elliot. She plays the following roles during the course to the play: Lizzy Bennett, Mary Bennett, Lydia Bennett, Mr Collins, Mr Elton, Mrs Weston, Elinor Dashwood and John Dashwood.
Trevor:
Is described as the dependable baritone of the symphony except when he is being the excitable baritone. He does not know as much about the Austen novels as Charlotte and Jessica but he grows to become an Austen fan. He plays most of the male characters, including Mr Darcy, Mr Wickham, Mr Willoughby and Colonel Brandon.
