Meet the BLODS Committee

The BLODS committee is made up of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the continued success of our society. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day running of BLODS, from organising productions and fundraising events to maintaining our theatre home and supporting our members.

Each committee member brings their own skills, enthusiasm, and passion for the performing arts, helping to create a vibrant and welcoming community for performers, backstage crews, and audiences alike. Together, we guide the society’s direction, preserve its traditions, and ensure its future for generations to come.

  • Chairman

Henri joined BLODS in 2005 as a fresh-faced actor and is now our weathered Chairman. He enjoys all aspects of working for BLODS, whether that’s behind the scenes or in the spotlight. He has directed many BLODS productions, including the NODA award winning and fabulously festive Elf the Musical in 2022 at the De La Warr Pavilion.

  • Claire brings a wealth of experience from her extensive work directing numerous school productions as a KS1 and Drama teacher at Claremont School. A true lover of the stage, Claire has also graced many musicals over the years with her own performances. When not immersed in theatre, she's a busy mum to a cricket-mad 12-year-old, whom she's (gently!) trying to persuade to join her in the performing arts.
