We're always on the hunt for new enthusiastic members, so whether you fancy a leading role, chorus work, or backstage, we want to hear from you!

Although our main focus is on producing great shows, all our members thoroughly enjoy the friendly atmosphere and social side to the society, so please don’t feel worried about whether you’ll be made welcome – the fact that every year we have plenty of new members joining us, means you’re not going to be the only new person, so fear not!

Who we’re looking for

A typical BLODS cast is made up of members from a wide range of performing abilities.

Performing members of the club will be required to sing, dance and act, however, although we prefer members to have experience and/or talent in some or all of these areas, the main qualities we look for in new members are enthusiasm, energy and commitment.

If you think these qualities apply to you then apply today, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

We also need people who can help with the production side of our shows. If you’re interested in helping back stage, sourcing props or being a part of the production team don’t hesitate to join and get involved.

How to join

Contact the Membership Secretary via the contact page or come along to rehearsals and speak to us there.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are generally Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.15pm to 10pm and are £1 per session. Occasionally we will hold extra voluntary rehearsals at other venues for members wishing to brush up on their performance.

Members are expected to be on time and ready to rehearse with appropriate rehearsal clothes and footwear.

Young BLODS are also required Mondays and Wednesday but from 5.45pm to 7.15pm, £1 per session.
